Zeldes Haeggquist & Eck (ZHE) Sues Interwest Consulting Group for Wrongful Termination In Violation of Family Medical Leave Act and California Family Rights Act
The employee rights advocates at Zeldes Haeggquist & Eck have sued Interwest Consulting, Inc. for wrongful termination on behalf of the company’s former Director of Marketing, the firm announced today.
Plaintiff Sherry Beck is represented by ZHE attorneys Alreen Haeggquist and Aaron Olsen. Her lawsuit alleges that she was fired in September 2015, while on protected leave following the adoption of her infant child.
The case is made more egregious by the fact that Interwest – which never gave Ms. Beck a single negative review – posted her job on LinkedIn while she was still out on protected leave and before informing Ms. Beck of the company’s decision to terminate her, Haeggquist said.
The case is pending in the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Trial is slated to begin on June 20, 2017.
